WHY BULKING IS BULLSHIT
Winter is coming which means bulking π...
Are you:
A. Bulking because it's Christmas and you use it as an excuse to over eat.
B. You've been instructed it's what you need by your "CoACh" to grow.
C. You couldn't successfully cut so perma-bulk it is.
Unless you're a bodybuilder it's highly unlikely you'll need to "bulk"
Did you even get lean enough or have any muscle to warrant the "BuLk" π
Don't worry I've said it years ago in winter too... I also just gained more fat than I wanted π€£
If you've dieted for long periods then focus on MAINTENANCE a hard but vital part of progress that A LOT avoid or neglect.
You still build muscle because you'll have more energy to train and train fucking hard to (a big part of how you build muscle)
A "bulk" if done correctly also requires food quality (not the unlimited weekends you had in mind, 200-500 calories extra is enough of a surplus too)
Build muscle by training hard, have a balanced diet and ensure your protein intake is higher than a toddlers! (A lot of people don't eat enough protein)
Most people aren't bodybuilders so if that's you...
then know that the above approach is probably a waste of time and years of gaining fat to try pull it off using restriction and suffering methods.
By all means get coached by a bodybuilder if they're qualified. But don't let them push the bias that you'll want to live the life of bodybuilding and have the same approach.

The average person doesn't need their relationship with food and exercise warped or extreme.
